Call for World Perfumery Congress Papers : Seeking Sensory Excellence

« The World Perfumery Congress (WPC) is the global stage for fragrance artistry and technology.

wpcTaking place June 13–15, 2016, at the Fontainebleau Resort  in Miami Beach, Florida, this year’s event will provide a unique forum for the exchange of insights.

The 2016 WPC is now seeking 30-minute educational presentations from industry experts on the following topics:

• Ingredients
• Perfumery
• Technology
• Sensory
• Science
• Sustainability
• Markets
• Trends
• Regulations

As a WPC presenter, you will gain recognition and exposure to the WPC’s audience of fragrance professionals from around the world.
Please note that all talks will be presented in English.

To submit, please include the following:

• Presenter’s name
• Presenter’s company
• Presentation title
• Complete address, phone and email information Brief presenter biography (200 characters or less)
• High-resolution headshot (300 dpi minimum)
• Abstract (500 characters or less)
• Audio/visual requirements
• Quantity of sampling (if applicable)

Submissions are due by October 9.
The event advisers (TBA) will evaluate all abstracts, and make selections based on topic, content and time available.
All prospective presenters will be notified by October 30. A detailed program of presentations and events will be provided prior to the conference. »

ISIPCA Expands R& D Research Division

« ISIPCA (Versailles, France) expands its R&D division for the Research and Development of perfume, cosmetics, and aromatic foods.

Led by Nadine Vallet, the program will include a team of nine perfume, cosmetic and aroma specialists as well as sensory analysts and chemists.

The program aims to conduct its own research and projects in order to better serve the perfume and cosmetic industry.

This year, the training institute published six research articles reaching international audiences focusing on a variety of topics including, ambient perfume sensorial development, essential oil constituents for SFC-UV, the relationship between diction and cosmetic knowledge and more. »

29eme Réunion Plénière de l’ISO/ TC 54 “Huiles Essentielles”

« En juin 2015 en Avignon, la Délégation française de la commission AFNOR T75A « Huiles Essentielles » a organisé la 29eme réunion internationale ISO « Essential Oils » réunissant 10 pays : l’Allemagne, l’Angleterre, l’Australie, la Chine, la Corée du Sud, l’Espagne, la Hongrie, l’Inde, le Rwanda et la France.

Sous la présidence de Han-Paul BODIFEE, représentant de PRODAROM et président du Pôle PASS, et d’Elisabeth Dadole (Bontoux SA), plusieurs normes ISO « Essential oils » de méthodes et de produits on tété mises à jour en accord avec l’évolution des connaissances analytiques et des méthodes de production.

Au travers de cette réunion ISO en Avignon, la délégation française a rappelé son engagement dans le processus normatif, et a pu aussi exposer son savoir-faire par un tour complet allant de la plante et son exploitation jusqu’à la molécule.
La visite des capacités de production de la sauge sclarée et de la lavande / lavandin autour du Mont Ventoux via l’usine Bontoux SAS, des présentations d’experts des sociétés Bontoux SAS, Robertet et H. Reynaud & Fils ont parfaitement illustré ce potentiel.

Les normes ISO, socle indispensable à la base des échanges commerciaux nationaux et internationaux, au travail des laboratoires de contrôle qualité et des services règlementaires, à la promotion de la qualité des huiles essentielles ou au simple partage de connaissances sur les HE et leurs analyses avec d’autres secteurs d’activité justifient pleinement l’engagement de la délégation française. «
